Christmas Market Design
There’s something frosty, with a touch of ginger in the air. Something cheerful and magical. Something peaceful and plain of serenity. Right, that’s Christmas time knocking at doors. I’m happy to share my new Xmas Fair design for shopping malls where I took into consideration all my sweet playground memories about simple, just at a hand materials, the smell of caramel and spices and a lot of smiles, smiles, smiles...

The modest materials and colors of kiosks are indicating Scandinavian motifs from afar. I deliberately wanted to get away from the traditional Christmas colors such as gold, red or green with silver. When thinking of materiality I made up my mind to use plywood as a construction basis - soft and simple, with no pretension on high style and nobility. All the hooks and shelves integrated on a display are fixed by wooden sticks inserted into equally spaced holes screwed on the vertical kiosk surfaces in order to provide variability of display's installation. The top of the whole structure is crowned with a welded iron structure in the industrial style of the early 20th century and is underlined by large Edison bulbs.
